THE IMPORTANCE OF THE BATTLE OF THE BRANDYWINE AND THE BATTLEFIELD

Free and open to the public. No reservations required. Donations are welcome.
Discussion and refreshments will follow the presentation.

Brandywine Battlefield State Park in Chadds Ford, PA, is currently closed. It is one of the casualties of the Commonwealth’s current financial crisis and failure to pass a budget. In honor of the Battle of The Brandywine, September 11, 1777, and in support of the State Park, Doctor Webster will speak about the Battle and it’s importance to the American cause. She will bring this amazing story to life for everyone!

Doctor Webster is one of the foremost historian’s in Pennsylvania and has contributed tirelessly to the preservation and promotion of our country, state and local histories, historical sites and buildings. She was a popular professor of History at Neumann University and Delaware County Community College. She also worked for the Delaware County Planning Department as head of the Historical Preservation Department for a number of years in addition to writing, researching, and lecturing. Her countless endeavors are numerous.
